Culture of peace and non-violence

The four-day conference "Culture of Peace and Non-Violence" has been taking place in Vladikavkaz since September 29.

Psychologists, teachers and representatives of international organizations such as these: "People of Charity", "SOS. Salvation", "Don Women", "Center of Social Researches" are participating in the conference.

Culture and education as basic factors of forming a tolerant sense in the region of the Northern Caucasus is a main theme of the discussion.

The organizers of the conference: non-government organizations "New Education. Teachers for Peace and Non-Violence" and "Caucasian Council for Refugees" intend to influence a school academic process greatly by raising culture in education. In their opinion, teachers are to be prepared for it, but most of them do not master a method and skills for cultivating peace and tolerance among students.

Having been finished in North Osetia, the conference will take place in Makhachkala and Baku.
