Armenia refutes information about could-be war in Karabakh

Tigran Balayan, press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia, has refuted the information disseminated by the Forum of the Armenian Societies of Europe (FASE), about an agreement reached between the USA and Russia about launching of a short-term war in the area of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with the aim to deploy Russian peacemakers in Kelbadzhar and American ones in Fizuli.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, the press secretary of the Armenian MFA treated the above news as nonsense, which requires no comment.

On June 24, the FASE disseminated a statement, referring to some data obtained from Europe's secret services, according to which US and Russian Presidents have concluded an agreement to organize this summer a number of incidents in the Nagorno-Karabakh-Azerbaijani border. Allegedly, this campaign has been coordinated with Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The provoked incidents will result in dozens of casualties; then, a broad and short war will be launched, where the death-roll will be in thousands. The war will be stopped by both super-powers by deploying peacemaking troops of the USA in Fizuli, and Russian ones - in Kelbadzhar. Turkey, in its turn, will immediately ratify the Armenian-Turkish Protocols and de-block the border.

Members of the Armenian Diaspora in Europe do not exclude that the data they have may be false, especially in what refers involvement of the Armenian President into this venture.
