ICPO: all casualties of special operation in Dagestan identified

As reported by the press service of the Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office (ICPO) of the Russian Federation for Dagestan, all the persons liquidated in the course of the special operation conducted in Stary Kostek village, Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, have been identified.

According to the ICPO, in the course of the special operation, conducted by joint forces of the FSB (Federal Security Bureau) and the local Ministry of Internal Affairs, six militants were blocked in a private house. In response to the offer to surrender they opened fire. In the skirmish that burst out, four law enforcers were lost and four more wounded. All the supposed militants were liquidated.

The murdered militants were identified as Nazir Baimurtazaev, Islam Aliev, Timur Dzhumakhanov, Arsen Nakiev, Timur Astemirov and Abdul Rasulov. The latter is a resident of Makhachkala; the others were natives of the Khasavyurt District, the RIA "Dagestan" reports.

The examination of the venue resulted in withdrawal of 5 AKM (Kalashnikov) sub-machine guns, a GP-25 grenade launcher with erased serial number, 2 RGD grenades, 2 VOG-25 grenade launcher rounds, 16 magazines to AK and AKM sub-machine guns and 508 cartridges of various calibres, the "Rosbalt" reports.

  • Two natives of Northern Caucasus injured in shootout near “Wildberries” office in Moscow
