Magistrate judge shot dead in Dagestan

Today at night, Abdurakhman Gamzatov, a magistrate judge of the Untsukul District, Dagestan, was shot dead, the on duty unit of the local ROVD (District Interior Division) reports.

"The judge was assassinated in his own house in Untsukul settlement at about 2:00 a.m. Probably, he left his door opened. He was found inside with two gunshot wounds," a ROVD source said.

Under preliminary data, he was shot dead from a pistol, the "Interfax-South" writes.

The RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to the source that a complex of operative-search actions was initiated, and an investigatory group is studying all the circumstances of the murder.
