"Krachkists" attacked in Makhachkala mosque, parishioners report

Today in Makhachkala, after the end of the Friday prayer, at the exit from the mosque located in Aligadji Akushinskiy Avenue, two parishioners were executed.

Ziyavdin Magomedov, one of the witnesses of the attack, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that one of the believers ran up to the parishioners, snatched out his pistol and shot them in the heads.

The wounded men were brought by ambulances to the republic's traumatology hospital. The on duty physician told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that Magomed (Magdi) Kazanbiev, born in 1970, a resident of Tarki, a suburb of Makhachkala, was already dead. The second patient - Arsenbek Abduzhabarov, born in 1983, a resident of Makhackala, - was transferred, after receiving primary medical aid and necessary examinations, to maxillofacial ward of the republic's clinical hospital.

The parishioners of the mosque were reluctant to speak, but one of them said on the conditions of strict anonymity that the attempt was made on the so-called "Krachkists". "There's a translation into Russian of the Sacred Koran made by Ignati Krachkovskiy. One of Dagestanians some ten years ago decided, after studying the translation, that the text of the prayer may be sounded in Russian during worship, which is categorically forbidden in Islam. Later, he managed to recruit numerous followers among the 'green' youth, and they were called 'Krachkists'. In my opinion, the pioneer of that movement was shot dead today. As far as we know, he proclaimed himself to be Magdi (future Allah's envoy and Doomsday harbinger)," said the source.

He also said that "Krachkists" go to usual mosques and make externally a usual namaz, but they read texts in Russian and are notable for long hair, cut moustaches and long beards.

Magomedrasul Saaduev, Imam of the central mosque of Makhachkala, has noted that the namaz text shall be read exclusively in the Arabian language.

Today in Dagestan, Azadi Shukhbabaev, administration head of the Magaramkent District of Dagestan, was shot dead, his driver was wounded.

Also, unidentified persons used a grenade launcher and automatic firearms to shell the frontier control post located in Gako village. This was reported by the law enforcement bodies of the Tsumadin District.

And in the morning, grenade launchers were used by unidentified persons to shell the "Arma" beer bar, located in Datueva Street in Khasavyurt. Nobody suffered, but the premises were heavily damaged.
