Terror act in Derbent: a woman died, seven persons injured

Three militiamen and five peaceful residents suffered at explosion in the Dagestan city of Derbent. A source in local law enforcement bodies said that a civilian woman later died in hospital. The investigation believes that it was a terror act.

The explosion was triggered on May 7, at 8:55 p.m. in the platform of the railway station at the moment of arrival of the Samur-Derbent electric train. The bomb was planted into the garbage bin at the entrance to the waiting hall, the "Gazeta.Ru" writes.

According to the "Echo Moskvy" Radio, now two victims are in grave condition in hospital; and one of them had his leg amputated. The ITAR-TASS reports that there is a foreigner among the victims - a citizen of Azerbaijan.
