Victims of terror act in Nalchik to get 150,000-700,000 roubles

Today, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has signed an instruction on payment of lump sum compensations to the citizens injured at the terror act in Nalchik on May 1. For this purpose the government of Kabardino-Balkaria will get up to 10 million roubles.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that a terror act was committed on May 1 at 12:35 a.m. at the Nalchik Republic's Hippodrome. A powerful self-made explosive was triggered in the heat of races. As a result of the explosion over 20 persons were hospitalized; later one of them - Saidli Shibzukhov, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, - died. Eleven persons are still taking their treatment at the Republic's Clinical Hospital and medical unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA); 18 more are taking out-patient treatment. Among those injured are the Minister of Culture of Kabardino-Balkaria Ruslan Firov and ex-Minister of Interior Khachim Shogenov.

According to the press service of the government, the reserve fund will allot 700,000 roubles to every casualty's family; those heavily or moderately injured will get 300,000 roubles each, and those slightly wounded - 150,000 roubles each.

Besides, casualties' families will get 18,000 roubles for every funeral.

At the moment, the MIA of Kabardino-Balkaria is in search of two supposed terrorists involved in the explosion. Their identikits have already been sent to all city and districts OVDs (interior divisions) of Kabardino-Balkaria and adjacent territories for placement in crowded places.
