Chechnya: five suspected militants liquidated in Vedeno District identified
The law enforcement bodies of Chechnya have identified three more members of the armed underground liquidated in the Vedeno District. Now, five out of six casualties are known. The search of IAF members in the district continues.
Local law enforcers assert that all the liquidated militants had been in search for participation in IAFs and committing other crimes.
"Operative agents have identified three more militants out of those liquidated in the special operation on March 17-18 in the vicinity of Hadji-Yurt (Pervomaiskoe) village, Vedeno District. They are three Grozny residents - Zelimkhan Gaitukaev, Aslan Muntuev and Shamil Soltakhanov. All of them were in federal search for participation in IAFs," the Chechen MIA reports.
Let us remind you that on March 17 a couple of kilometres off Hadji-Aul village, Vedeno District, Chechen militiamen and servicemen from the "Yug" (South) special battalion of Internal Troops of the MIA of Russia "South" started a combat with a militants' grouping some 20-30 persons strong.
Earlier, the law enforcement bodies of the republic had reported identification of two militants liquidated in the mountains of the Vedeno District. One of them - a local resident Ismail Kutsaev - was called to be a security guard of the well-known Arabian field commander Yasir by nickname.
The second casualty, a native of one of Middle East countries - Aby Khaled, - was also declared by power agents to be at the same time the militants' financier, chief of Dokku Umarov's counterespionage unit, an ideologist and an instructor of separatists' armed formations.
