Trial of South-Ossetian ex-Minister of Education to continue on March 23

The building of the Tskhinvali City Court hosts the trial of Alla Dzhioeva, ex-Minister of Education of South Ossetia, accused of plundering money and bribery. On March 19, after a three-hour-long session, Judge Albert Gigolaev decided to announce a break till March 23.

At the session Ms Dzhioeva petitioned for getting the minutes of previous litigations, but was rejected. According to the court secretary, defendant Dzhioeva will get the minutes after the end of the litigation.

"I demand to note in the minutes that my case is considered as a political one, not criminal," Ms Dzhioeva has stated at the session.

She also noted that she had a document, also sent to President of Russia, with 167 signatures, stating that Dzhioeva's trial is "nothing else but mockery at her."

The party of the prosecution has presented 18 witnesses, of whom 12 refused to be recognized as victims, since they had not suffered from Dzhioeva's actions.
