Meeting in support of detainees on the case of murder of MIA chief held in Dagestan
On March 17, a meeting in support of the rights of suspects in the case of murder of Adilgerei Magomedtagirov, Dagestan minister of interior, was held in Makhachkala.
About 500 people attended the action in support of detainees Shamsullah Borziev and Abdulmedzhid Manapov. Magomed Shamilov, one of the organizers of the meeting and chairman of the independent trade union of employees of internal affairs bodies, said that the participants demanded a lawful investigation of the case of persons suspected in murdering the Dagestan MIA chief.
Towards the end of the meeting, a resolution was adopted addressed to the president's administration and ministers of internal affairs of Russia and Dagestan, reports "Radio Freedom".
As the "Caucasian Knot" reported, on March 2, another unsanctioned action of protest was held before the building of Dagestan MIA by the relatives of the persons suspected of murdering Adilgerei Magomedtagirov, chief of the republic's MIA. The meeting was dispersed by armed law enforcement officers of the republic.
