Valery Etezov, suspected of attacking power agents, shot dead in Nalchik

As reported by law enforcement bodies, in the city of Nalchik, the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria, Valery Etezov, helper of one of regional militants' leaders - Anzor Astemirov, - was liquidated.

Valery Etezov, born in 1982, was an active supporter of Wahhabism and participant of a number of resonant terror acts - attacks on and shelling of law enforcers. Power agencies report that he was in international search since 2005.

Etezov was identified by law enforcers near one of caf?s in Nalchik. At detention he opened fire on militiamen, having wounded two of them, and an occasional local passer-by. He was killed by response fire, as the "Interfax" reports.

Law enforcement bodies report that an Austrian-made pistol-machine gun, a self-made grenade and a faked ID of an employee of the republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) were found on the militant, the "Vesti.Ru" reports.

  • Two natives of Northern Caucasus injured in shootout near “Wildberries” office in Moscow

    A shootout took place near an office of the “Wildberries” Company in the centre of Moscow. As a result, at least one person has been killed and several others have been wounded, sources report.   • In Volgograd, court recognizes absence of HIV therapy in prison hospital

    The Central District Court of Volgograd awarded prisoner Ruslan Mitrofan compensation in the amount of 1000 roubles, recognizing that the administration of a prison hospital in Volgograd violated the prisoner’s right to receive medical care by not providing him with an HIV medicine.
