Well-known stickler for independence of Chechen Republic Hoj-Akhmed Nukhayev get back to Chechnya

Hoj-Akhmed Nukhayev, a well-known Chechen figure, former vice premier of the Ichkerian government under president Zelimkhan Yandarbiyev, told a Kavkaz Center source via phone he had arrived in Chechnya about a week ago so as to resist the Russian forces with arms in hands.

Nukhayev said he had already met several Chechen field commanders. According to his words, the aim of his return to Chechnya is not only to give the world a demonstration of the fact there are enough sincere patriots of their native land among the Chechens, but to do his part for the making of the Chechen Independent Islamic State on the basis of Shariat by fighting with the Russian army personally.

Hoj-Akhmed Nukhayev is an author of a number of books, in which he proposed the ways of the Russian-Chechen military conflict settlement. His proposals caused an ambiguous critical reaction of the Chechen politicians and leadership. He has stayed abroad since the beginning of today's war, actively providing material aid to Chechen armed forces.
