In Rostov Region, militia searches those who desecrated graves

At night on February 15, in the city cemetery of Azov, Rostov Region, unidentified persons made a rout. In more than 30 tombs of one of the sections, where only veterans of World War II are buried, monuments and tombstones were ruined or damaged.

Alexei Klimov, director of the municipal enterprise "Ritual", which is serving the cemetery, said that he made a respective application to the militia, which started an inquiry. However, since the burials are private, the restoration of the tombs is on the relatives of the deceased.

The city mayoralty knows about the incident and stated that the city authorities will help in restoring the graves, as soon as cold weather ends, and it will possible to work with concrete. A spokesman from the GUVD (Chief Interior Department) of the Rostov Region said that militiamen do everything possible to find the culprits.
