Accident in Stavropol leaves 4000 residents, school and hospitals without water
In Stavropol, a failure of some part in water supply line resulted in absence of water in School No. 11, kindergarten "Rostock", gerontology centre, cardiac centre and district Tashla, where private cottages are located. In total, the failure left about 4000 persons without water.
Let us note here that on February 13-14, the Stavropol Territory suffered from a hurricane; and its consequences are not yet completely eliminated by specialists. And on February 16, a storm warning was again announced in the Territory. The strong wind flipped over a crane in Stavropol and de-roofed a number of houses.
As reported by Boris Skripka, head of the Department for Civil Defence and Emergencies of the city administrations, today at about seven in the morning water pressure dropped in the Prigorodnaya-Fedoseyev Street. It was found out that a pig-iron latch of the water pipe collapsed, the GTRK "Stavropolie" reports.
The "Interfax" was told at the city administration that potable water will be brought to disconnected medical institutions and private houses by water trucks.
