Broad-scale operation "Homeless Child" held in Chechnya
Employees of the Chechen MIA, mainly the units dealing with minors and local inspections, are engaged, since February 11, in searching actions aimed to reveal of homeless and neglected children. The broad-scale operation "Homeless Child" will continue till February 20.
"Militiamen examine shops, railway stations, computer clubs and other places, where teenagers usually group together. Several neglected children, mainly Tadjiks, begging in the streets, have been already found," said a source from the MIA.
According to his version, from the start of the year, 50 neglected children were found in Grozny and elsewhere in the republic.
In 2009, inspectors on minors revealed 760 neglected and 10 homeless kids in Chechnya.
