OMON fighters wounded at shelling in Dagestan
Unidentified persons shelled a militia post in the Untsukul District of Dagestan and wounded three fighters of the Moscow OMON (special militia).
According to the MIA of Dagestan, the fire was opened from sub-machine guns at the militia post located in Maidanskoe village, Untsukul District of the republic.
Militiamen opened response fire, and the attackers disappeared, as the "Interfax-South" reports.
"Most likely, the fire was delivered from the mountains," the MIA told the "Life News".
All three militiamen are in hospital; and the condition of one of them is assessed as grave, the "Gazeta.Ru". Now, the circumstances of the incident are examined.
The situation in Dagestan is still restless; messages about explosions, bombardments, attempts and terror acts aimed at employees of power agencies in the region are quite frequent.
Thus, on February 14, at about 9:30 p.m. Moscow time, in Novye Gadari village, Khasavyurt District, unidentified persons attacked from their automatic arms a Lada Priora car with law enforcers inside. According to preliminary data, two militiamen were lost. Later, information appeared that a young woman was killed in the shelling of militiamen in Dagestan.
A day earlier, on February 13, in Dagestan, unidentified persons shelled the building of the Karabudakhkent District Interior Department, fortunately, with no victims.
On February 11, in Makhachkala, an attempt was committed on Militia Lieutenant-Colonel Agav Temirov, officer of the Department of Internal Safety of the Dagestan MIA, who later died in hospital at surgery.
