"Caucasian Knot" receives a UJR's Prize
In Moscow, on February 12, within the All-Russia Contest of the Union of Journalists of Russia (UJR), a ceremony of rewarding the winners of 2009 was held. The prizes were awarded for best publications, actual picture stories, new television programs, books and journalistic actions. The "Caucasian Knot" became a Laureate of the Prize "For Defence of Interests of Professional Community".
"Every year, the ceremony of rewarding journalists is held in late January - early February. These are the prizes inaugurated not by the state and not by sponsors - by the journalistic community. For me, it was very important that this time the 'Caucasian Knot' is among the nominees. Because, firstly, it's a modern mass media, and, secondly, it's the Caucasus," Vsevolod Bogdanov, Chairman of the UJR, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
