Novorossisk UVD refused to ensure safety of Dymovskiy's supporters

The militia refused to ensure safety of the organizers of the rally on February 21 with the demand of fair trial on the case of the ex-militia major Alexei Dymovskiy, capital reform of the MIA and resignation of Vladimir Chernositov, head of the Novorossisk UVD (Interior Department). Vadim Karastelyov, an expert of the Novorossisk Committee of Human Rights (NCHR) and Dymovskiy's official representative, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he was recommended at the UVD to hire private securities for this purpose.

"Yesterday, they told us at the Novorossisk UVD that they could not ensure safety of the organizers of the rally on February 21. The reason, as they said, was that 'one of demands of the rally was resignation of our boss - head of the UVD of Novorossisk Chernositov'," said Karastelyov.

The formulation was astonishing for the human rights activist, as one of these days at the rally in Kaliningrad one of demands of the protesters was resignation of Russian Premier Vladimir Putin, but militia still ensured the safety of the audience.

According to Mr Karastelyov, today is the deadline for the administration of Novorossisk to answer to the application of human rights activists on holding the rally. "So far, they've given no answer either to us or to the organizers of a similar rally in St Petersburg," he said.

The human rights activist has added that apart from the threats arriving to organizers' mobile phones, which was reported by the "Caucasian Knot" earlier, "a provocation was already undertaken" against Karastelyov, and he has already filed a complaint to the name of the present UVD commander.

Besides, I noticed that I was shadowed by a tall man, aged about 48 (height of 182 cm, reddish hair, large elongated face, dressed in a black jacket and dark jeans), and by a woman, aged about 40 (height of 170 cm, long dark hair, dressed in a short black jacket and dark-blue jeans).
