Stavropol Territory: pupils get chilblain in workout
The Prosecutor's Office of the Stavropol Territory has initiated a criminal case on the fact of chilblain received by schoolchildren in the course of their sport training session.
Six children got their feet and toes frozen up to categories 1-2 chilblain and were hospitalized after workout in the group of oriental martial arts in Sports School No. 3. The reason of the chilblain was a 20-minute warm-up barefoot jogging on snow at the temperature of minus 15-18 degrees Centigrade.
The task was given by their trainer and head of the section Vadim Khorev, against whom a criminal case is already opened under part 1, Article 115, of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (deliberate causing of light harm to one's health), as the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.
It is remarkable that Khorev himself had to apply for medical aid because of chilblain, as the "Rosbalt" reports.
In total, 17 persons in the age of 7 and up addressed the doctors of the city clinical hospital, who now report that "treatment progresses normally, complications are liquidated, and the patients are on their way towards recovery."
So far, the children's parents have moved no claims against the trainer. They say that they were informed initially about the character of workouts and agreed to this sort of acclimation of their children, as reported by the "Northern Caucasus".
One of the mothers told about the trainer that "it could happen with everyone." "He was tempering our kids, and had no diseases; we can say that they were practically never sick; many of them went to workouts with their parents; they have no claims," the "Infox.ru" quotes the woman as saying.
