"Voice of Beslan" plans to make Movement "For Status of Terror Victims" international
On February 12, Ella Kesaeva, head of the All-Russian Public Organization "Voice of Beslan", and Irina Khalai, head of the Volgodonsk public organization of terror victims, will go to Spain to take part in the congress of terror victims. Ms Kesaeva is going to suggest there to make the Movement "For Status of Terror Victims" international.
"We received several invitations, but every time we were under criminal cases initiated against us. I decided not to leave the country, as it could be regarded as an escape. Now they hold their next congress of terror victims, and we should be there, because we represent Russia. We'll make reports on our problems," Ella Kesaeva told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
She has noted that she will ask to grant the Public Movement "For Status of Terror Victims" with the international status. "We are sure that our Movement should be universal, like the European Convention on Protection of Human Rights. The status of terror victims should have same social guarantees, payments and rehabilitation in all the countries," Ms Kesaeva has noted.
