Competition of non-government organizations "Program of Real Deeds" is to be carried out in Dagestan

As a spokesman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan informed, the presidium of the National Assembly adopted the resolution to hold the republican competition of non-government organizations "Program of Real Deeds" before January 25, 2004.

This competition is conducted in the course of putting into practice recommendations of the scientific and practical conference "Problems of the Civil Society Formation in the Republic of Dagestan". It provides for the revelation of the most effective socially important projects. Projects that are already being carried out in the republic are admitted to the competition.

The competition goal is to join the efforts of public authorities, local government and public organizations to promote citizens' social activity directed towards the solution of socially important problems of Dagestani people.

The task of the competition is to popularize activities of non-government organizations and develop civil initiative in the Republic of Dagestan, to exchange experience on putting socially important projects into practice, to form a stable system of interaction between public authorities, local government and public organizations in Dagestan.

This competition is a kind of monitoring before the republican National Assembly considers the legislation "On the Interaction of the Authorities of the Republic of Dagestan with Non-Government Non-Profit Organizations".

  • Two natives of Northern Caucasus injured in shootout near “Wildberries” office in Moscow

    A shootout took place near an office of the “Wildberries” Company in the centre of Moscow. As a result, at least one person has been killed and several others have been wounded, sources report.   • In Volgograd, court recognizes absence of HIV therapy in prison hospital

    The Central District Court of Volgograd awarded prisoner Ruslan Mitrofan compensation in the amount of 1000 roubles, recognizing that the administration of a prison hospital in Volgograd violated the prisoner’s right to receive medical care by not providing him with an HIV medicine.
