Picket with demand of Dymovskiy's fair trial to be held in Novorossisk
Prior to start of the trial against former militia major from Novorossisk Alexei Dymovskiy, appointed on January 25, a picket will be held in the city with a demand of fair trial of Dymovskiy under the suit of Novorossisk militia bosses lodged against him.
The picket is planned on the day of the trial at 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the crossing of the Anapa Highway and Industrialnaya Street. Vadim Karastelyov, expert of the Novorossisk Committee on Human Rights and Mr Dymovskiy's official representative, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the picketers will also demand reforming the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"The notification about the picket was submitted on January 15 to the city administration, which didn't expressed any motivated objections to the event; but, however, offered to hold it in poorly populated places: the October Square, Lenin Komsomol Park or Pioneer Grove," Mr Karastelyov said.
Since January 25 is a working day, the picket will not be numerous, as the organizers of the action believe. They forecast some 20 persons to come to take part in it.
Dymovskiy's supporters will come to the picket and trial with white bands in hands. The session will be open. Alexei Dymovskiy is going to take part in it on January 25 and put forward a number of petitions.
