Suspect of kidnappings businessmen detained in Ingushetia
As reported by law enforcement bodies of Ingushetia, Magomed Gorchkhanov, a member of the criminal grouping, engaged in kidnapping businessmen with the aim of getting ransom, was detained.
By preliminary data, Gorchkhanov was a member of the criminal grouping, engaged in 2007-2008 in Moscow and other Russian regions in kidnappings of businessmen with the aim of extorting money further used for funding illegal armed formations. According to operative agents, the grouping had to do with kidnapping of the son of Mikhail Stavskiy, vice-president of "Rosneft".
As reported by the PR Division of the FSB Department for Ingushetia, Magomed Gorchkhanov, who was in federal search since last August, was detained on Monday, January 18, in Plievo village of the Nazran District of the republic.
The grouping, where Gorchkhanov was a member, was stopped by law enforcers in Moscow in 2009. According to the FSB, some of the bandits were detained, but the remaining members hid in the territory of Ingushetia, where they formed another bandit group for committing terror crimes, in particular, armed attacks and bombardments of law enforcers, as the ITAR-TASS reports.
