Moscow authorities sanction human rights activists' pickets in memory of Markelov and Baburova

On Friday, January 15, the Prefecture of the Central Administrative District of Moscow allowed human rights activists to hold two pickets on January 19, the first anniversary of murders of lawyer Stanislav Markelov and journalist Anastasia Baburova.

The first picket will start at 6:45 p.m. Moscow time opposite No. 4 in the Petrovskiy Boulevard. Its participants will be allowed to march along boulevards to the Chistye Prudy. At 8:00 p.m. at the monument to Griboedov at the Chistye Prudy the second picket will start. This information is placed in the website of the Movement "For Human Rights".

The organizers of the actions have put a mandatory condition for the participants - "no flags and other political symbols."
