Nagorno-Karabakh liquidates hurricane consequences

The hurricane struck the republic on January 2 and 3, and the city of Shushi suffered most, as the wind blew off roofs of some apartment blocks and individual houses, broke electricity lines and fell trees there.

The operative headquarters set up for defining and eliminating the damage has reported that 8 apartment blocks, 2 administrative buildings and 15 private houses were damaged.

The hurricane also covered the city of Stepanakert and a number of villages in the Askeran, Martunin and Gadrut Districts of Nagorno-Karabakh. In Stepanakert, roofs of some apartment blocks were damaged and one of them lost its roof completely.
