Rally in support of Pashinyan held in Yerevan
On January 8, the square adjoining the monument to Commander Vardan Mamikonyan in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, was the venue of a rally in support of Nikol Pashinyan, a candidate for MP and political prisoner. The event was held by the Armenian National Congress within the agitation campaign for parliamentary elections in the majority constituency No. 10 of Yerevan.
The oppositionists who spoke at the rally called the audience to surely come to vote and cast their ballots for candidate Nikol Pashinyan.
Let us remind you that Mr Pashinyan, imprisoned activist of the opposition and editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Armenian Time", accused of organizing mass disorders on March 1, 2008, was nominated as a candidate for the National Assembly in Constituency No. 10 of Yerevan. On December 5, the sitting of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia decided to register Nikol Pashinyan as a candidate for MP
"Armenia: different political forces condemn beating of oppositionists", "In Armenia, imprisoned journalist registered as deputy candidate", "Protest action dated to the Day of Political Prisoners held in Yerevan".

Rights defenders confirm chances of those arrested in Wildberries case to avoid trial
Those arrested within the shooting case near the Wildberries office have the right to conclude contracts with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) to be sent to the special military operation (SMO) zone, after which the criminal case will be closed, human rights defenders have indicated.
