Georgian Airways has no permit from Rosaviation to fly to Russia

The airline named Georgian Airways is still waiting for a permit from the Aviation Department of Russia (Rosaviation) to make air flights. This was reported by Nino Giorgobiani, head of the airline's PR service. The Russia's decision is anticipated by January 4.

"We have no direct permit from Rosaviation. When we checked the information with them, they answered that so far they abstained from giving a permit," the "Business-Georgia" Agency quotes Ms Giorgobiani as saying.

The "Interfax" reports that initially the information about the permit on charter flights Tbilisi-Moscow-Tbilisi on Christmas days - January 8, 9 and 10 - and Tbilisi-St Petersburg-Tbilisi on January 9-10 appeared on December 31 in Russian media, but was not confirmed by Georgian sources.
