Ingush student kidnapped from "Novokuznetsk-Kislovodsk" train

On December 29, a resident of Ingushetia, who was on his way home from his student's session in the train "Novokuznetsk-Kislovodsk", was kidnapped by unidentified persons. His sister assumes that power agencies have to do with this kidnapping.

Zarema Inalovа told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that her brother Rashid Inalov, 22, a fourth-year student of the Samara State University, was to come to Pyatigorsk by train, and from there to Ingushetia, but disappeared at the station of Mineralnye Vody.

Rashid Inalov is a resident of the village of Plievo, Nazran District.

"His telephone stopped answering in Mineralnye Vody, where under a pretext of checking documents Rashid was taken out of his compartment by two persons in civilian clothes, who presented themselves as criminal search agents but did not specify the region. According to Rashid's fellow traveller, the kidnappers showed their IDs, but didn't open them. One of them presented himself as Artyom Sumalko. We checked up, but no Sumalko ever worked for the criminal search of Mineralnye Vody. Allegedly they said that Rashid's passport was 'faked' and they wanted to check it up. My brother wanted to leave his luggage in the compartment, but they told him to take it," said the sister.

"The trainwoman asserts that the kidnappers went with his brother from Samara; both had Caucasian appearance. Strange as it may seem, but no video camera in the station, where my brother was taken off the train, fixed the incident," Ms Inalovа said.

Rashid Inalov's relatives filed their statements to the Prosecutor's Office of Ingushetia, Nazran ROVD (District Interior Division) and human rights organizations.

They also said that Rashid was never tried before and was not searched.
