Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan sets afloat the criminal case on execution of Khasavyurt residents after three years of protraction
Enver Mamedov, head of the division for supervising investigation of crimes of the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan, has instructed the public prosecutor of Khasavyurt to receive Mamatkhan Baisultanov, who had complained that the investigation of the execution of his son and pregnant daughter-in-law, committed in 2006, is protracted.
Mr Baisultanov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that on December 25, in reply to his complaints, Mamedov telephoned to the public prosecutor of Khasavyurt and ordered him to set afloat the criminal case initiated against Anas Satiraev, senior lieutenant of the Kazbek ROVD (District Interior Division), accused of involuntary murder of the woman.
"My son was wounded, I cure him till now, my daughter-in-law was killed, the culprit of the tragedy is known, but nobody wants to bring the case to the logic end. This is our militia, and this is our prosecutor's office; and we still get surprised when people with shoulder straps are murdered from time to time," said Baisultanov.
The incident burst out in autumn of 2006, when a special operation was conducted in Khasavyurt. Militiamen surrounded the household at No. 83 in the Schorsa Street, where Gasan Mamatkhanov, Mamatkhan's son, lived together with his pregnant wife Sapiyat Magomedova. A skirmish burst out, as a result of which Gasan with heavy wounds in the heart area was brought to local hospital, and his wife died in situ. Already on the following day power agents stated that Gasan was a member of the militants' grouping of the "Khasavyurt direction", and his wife, when offered to surrender, shouted "Allah Akbar!" and opened fire on the militiamen, and two of them were slightly wounded. The militiamen had to open fire in response from their firearms.
