Resident of Dagestan asks Russian Public Prosecutor to punish the militiaman who beat him
Today, Khaibula Khaibulaev, a resident of Karata village, Akhvakh District, has sent a letter to Yuri Chaika, General Public Prosecutor of Russia, asking him to attract Labazan Derbishev, head of criminal search of the Botlikh District, who severely beat Khaibulaev on August 16, 2009.
The incident burst out on that very day - August 16, when Derbishev made a scandal Khaibulaev in Rakhata village, Botlikh District, where Khaibulaev's son-in-law lives. Then Derbishev took Khaibulaev to militia station beat and put into a single cell. At night, the detainee felt bad; and militiamen had to call a doctor. In the morning, Khaibulaev was brought to the magistrate judge, where he was fined for disobeying the guards of order. On that very day, Khaibulaev addressed the Botlikh inter-district investigatory division at the prosecutor's Office of Dagestan with a complaint against Derbishev's illegal actions. Later, Khaibulaev took his treatment for a month and the Akhvakh Central District Hospital on the occasion of his posttraumatic injuries of the kidneys and body.
The investigation found Derbishev's actions to be lawful. Khaibulaev said that Derbishev had already once been dismissed from militia for beating an illegally detained person, but later he was restored at his work. According to Khaibulaev, after his address with a complaint to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Dagestan, he began receiving threats.
Khaibulaev's advocate said that he would go to the end, up to the Strasbourg Court.
