In Adzharia, young man dies from swine flu
A young man - Ramaz Bezhanidze, 27, whose life was supported by a respiratory apparatus, - died today in the afternoon from swine flu in a Batumi hospital. This was reported at an emergency press conference by Alexander Kvitashvili, Minister of Public Health of Georgia.
The Minister has noted that in Georgia out of five gravest swine flu patients, only one has improvements. Three patients are in a clinic of Kutaisi also under artificial lung ventilation. One more patient - a pregnant woman - when in Gudushauri hospital in Tbilisi delivered a healthy daughter, but mother is critical.
According to the Ministry of Public Health of Georgia, officially, in November-December the country registered 40,000 thousand swine flu cases. 1500 patients were hospitalized.
