Rostov Region enacts "curfew" for children
Now, in the Rostov Region, children in the age under 16 have no right to appear without adults at night in public places. The respective law was passed on December 3 by the regional parliament.
The ban covers the time from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. in the period from November 1 to March 31 and from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. in the period from April 1 to October 31. According to the new law "On measures to prevent harm to children's health and their physical, intellectual, mental, spiritual and moral development", during the above time intervals minors should be accompanied by their parents or substituting persons, or by the adults who hold actions with participation of children, as the "News61.ru" Agency reports.
Also, the teenagers are forbidden to appear at night hours by their own in house doorways, streets, stadiums, parks, squares, public transport, Internet-cafes, as well as in places of trade, public catering, entertainment and leisure.
Also, under the law adopted in the Rostov Region, minors aged up to 18, irrespective of adults' accompaniment, are prohibited to appear at any time of the day at the places, where they sell tobacco products, in institutions with striptease-shows, in pubs and sex-shops, as the "Interfax" Agency reports.
