Militiaman lost in a clash in Dagestan
On December 5 in the evening, a combat clash of militiamen with a group of militants burst out in a large forest in the territory of the Sergokalin District of Dagestan. A militiaman perished, and another one was wounded.
"A group of militants, the strengths of which is not yet defined, opened automatic fire on the militiamen who chased the group. In the course of the skirmish, one militiaman - a senior sergeant - was lost, and one more - a militia captain - was wounded," the Sergokalin District ROVD reports.
According to the source, the forest where the combat clash took place is now cordoned. Additional militia forces from several neighbouring ROVDs were deployed in the unit, as the "Interfax" writes. The militia is now mopping-up the district aiming to find the militants," the "Vesti.Ru" adds.
