Kadyrov summoned to interrogation on his case against head of HRC "Memorial"
Within the next few days, the Inquiry Division of the Moscow GUVD (Chief Interior Department) will interrogate President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov on the criminal case initiated under his claim of slander against Oleg Orlov, head of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial".
"At the Inquiry Division of the GUVD, I was interrogated as Kadyrov's representative," said the lawyer Andrei Krasnenkov. According to his story, it was a repeated interrogation, as earlier he had already evidenced at the GUVD on the criminal case against Oleg Orlov. "I clarified certain points and petitioned for interrogating some witnesses," said the advocate.
"Under my petition, about 15 documents were added to the case files, which prove that Mr Orlov, when speaking about the murder of human rights defender Natalia Estemirova, accused President of Chechnya in the criminal sense, and not in the social-legal one, as he asserts," said Krasnenkov.
He has also reported, as the "Interfax" writes, that Kadyrov himself will be soon interrogated, since the criminal case against Orlov was initiated under his claim.
"The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Chechnya has already received an order signed by the head of the Moscow GUVD instructing to interrogate the President of this republic. I think the interrogation will take place one of these days," said the defender as quoted on December 4 by the "Pravo.Ru".
