South Ossetia to release Georgian teenagers in response to Georgia's liberation of five Ossetians

The Georgian party has released five citizens of South Ossetia: Ibragim Laliev, Lavrentiy Kaziev, Yakov Tekhov, Pavel Tekhov and Vladimir Eloev. The hostages were handed over at the Georgian-South-Ossetian border.

They were brought to Tskhinvali by Thomas Hammarberg, Supreme Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe, who visited South Ossetia on November 30, and Tbilisi - on December 1, and David Sanakoev, Representative of the President of South Ossetia on Human Rights.

Now, the released persons have met their relatives, as reported by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Let us remind you that four of the released citizens were detained by the Georgian party after the end of the August events of 2008 and were kept in custody until today. Vladimir Eloev got to the territory of Georgia in the state of intoxication.

The Ossetians remained in the territory of the Georgian city of Gori since August 2009, after the Tbilisi Court passed an acquittal. According to the released persons, they were kept in a private house "in extremely bad conditions," as the ITAR-TASS reports.

In response to release of the citizens, the South-Ossetian party plans to set free the Georgian minors detained on November 4 in the vicinity of the Ossetian village named Pris.
