First international flight from Grozny to start on November 16
The first international air flight from the airport of the capital of Chechnya is planned for November 16. The flight will bring pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
The "Boeing-757" will take the first two hundred pilgrims from Grozny to Saudi Arabia; and all in all, there will be seven such flights.
According to Khamzat Khirakhmatov, Deputy Mufti of Chechnya, this year three thousand believers of the republic will make their hadj, of them one thousand will go to Saudi Arabia by land transport, as reported by the ITAR-TASS.
Sultan Mirzaev, Mufti of Chechnya, has noted that pilgrims welcome the start of international flights from Grozny airport and an opportunity to make hadj by means of a direct flight from Grozny. This was reported by the website of the President and Government of Chechnya.
