Press conference of Moscow Helsinki Group

A press conference summing up the trip of Moscow Helsinki Group Chairwoman Lyudmila Alekseyeva and Moscow Helsinki Group Chief Executive Tatyana Lokshina to the Chechen Republic for monitoring the Chechen presidential elections is to be held at the Institute of Press Development (Tverskoy Bulvar, 20) on October 8, 2003, at 10 a.m.

The Moscow Helsinki Group has been tracing the course of the election campaign in Chechnya since mid-September. The section "Presidential Elections in Chechnya: Human Rights Monitoring" on the MHG website is refreshed regularly.

The bulletin of the same name has been regularly published since September 24 with the assistance of the "Caucasian Knot" Internet source.
