Bloggers' trial protracted in Azerbaijan
Today, the Sabail District Court of Baku, chaired by Araz Guseinov, continued the litigation on the case of young bloggers Emin Milli and Adnan Gadjizade, accused of hooliganism and causing bodily injuries.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that only one victim - Babek Guseinov - has appeared in the courtroom. The other one - Vyusal Mamedov - sent a notice in writing about his inability to appear "for health condition."
One of the main witnesses - Shakhsenem Ismailova, co-owner of the "Lebanon" Restaurant, where on July 8 the incident happened, as a result of which the bloggers were arrested, - was also absent at the trial.
The judge asked the state prosecutor, whether it was possible to hold the hearing without the witness; the latter said that it could be possible "only due to serious health problems."
Therefore, on October 28, the judge ruled to find out whether the witness would be in the condition to appear to the trial and appointed the next session to November 6 at 3:00 p.m.
