ICPO: over 41 million budget roubles stolen in Ingushetia
The Investigatory Department for Ingushetia of the ICPO has initiated a criminal case on the fact of plundering budgetary funds of the republic's Ministry of Finance and Ingush branch of the Savings Bank.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported earlier that in September in Ingushetia over 38 million roubles allocated on building the Republic's Anti-Tuberculosis Dispensary were stolen.
The ICPO said that the criminal case was opened under part 1, Article 285, of the Criminal Code ("Inappropriate use of funds") and part 4, Article 159 ("Especially large swindle"), as the "Interfax" writes.
"In the period from July to November 2007, the Ministry of Finance of Ingushetia made a number of payments aimed to compensate the revenues for granting privileges on payment for housing-and-municipal utilities. All the payment orders indicated the account in the Ingush Branch of the Savings Bank, which did not belong to the enterprise-addressee. Besides, at the bank requisites of payment orders were amended. After entrance of the funds to another settlement account they were cashed by some unidentified person by using a faked passport," the "Gazeta.Ru" quotes the ICPO's statement.
According to information of the ICPO, in total budgetary funds in the sum of 41 million roubles were plundered under such faked payment orders.
