Militiaman's house attacked in Chechnya
In the southwest of Chechnya, in its Urus-Martan District, unidentified persons shelled the house of an employee of the local Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). Besides, a fougasse was planted opposite the house.
The incident took place in the village of Goity, Urus-Martan District. The house, in which the Chechen militiaman lives, was shelled from small arms. For a long time similar facts were not registered in Chechnya.
"On October 19, in Goity village, Urus-Martan District, at about 4:30 a.m., unidentified persons opened automatic fire on one of private households in the Kagermanova Street. The attacked house belongs to a senior sergeant of militia, an employee of the patrol-sentry service of the MIA. By a lucky chance, none of his family members and he himself remained safe," a source from the MIA of Chechnya said in his conversation with the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to his story, some three hours later, the militiaman found a powerful explosive, planted into the sidewalk in front of his house and comprising a large-calibre artillery shell with a mobile telephone attached for remote triggering. "The called sappers managed to neutralize the bomb. Measures are now taken to identify and detain the culprits," said the source.
