"Strong Georgia": EU report allows starting Saakashvili's impeachment
The report of the commission of the European Union (EU), where President of Georgia was found guilty of unleashing the war in South Ossetia, allows initiating the procedure of impeaching President Mikhail Saakashvili. This was stated by Carlo Kopaliani, member of the Republican Party and an MP from the oppositional faction "Strong Georgia", at a press conference on October 16.
He invited Mr Saakashvili to retire voluntarily. In its turn, the movement of Levan Gachechiladze "Defend Georgia" has launched a campaign on "separation of Georgia from President Mikhail Saakashvili," as reported by "GeorgiaTimes".
The Labour Party of Georgia has also expressed its intention to address the official Brussels and Washington with a request to immediately launch investigation into the actions of Georgian leader, the "Gazeta.Ru" writes.
