In Rostov, nine schoolchildren hospitalized after vaccination

In Rostov-on-Don, nine school pupils were hospitalized after flu vaccination, some more kids addressed the local polyclinic after inoculation.

The vaccination of 35 children was undertaken yesterday, on October 15; they were sixth-seventh form pupils of School No. 16 in Rostov-on-Dons. According to "Rospotrebnadzor" (Federal Service for Consumer's Supervision), on that very day, at about 2:00 p.m. several kids felt bad and were accompanied by their parents to Children's Hospital No. 2 with headache, nausea and high blood pressure. Two of them had also high temperature.

It was reported that parents of 5 pupils refused to send their kids to hospital, 7 others were handed over under supervision of local paediatricians of Children's Polyclinic No. 4. "Now children are OK, their health is normal," said the press service of the "Rospotrebnadzor".

At present, the "Rospotrebnadzor", militia and prosecutor's office have initiated a check of the fact, as reported by the "RBC. Southern Region". According to the prosecutor's office, the vaccine had arrived from the warehouse of the LLC "Pharmacist"; and the ampoules with the drug had inscription "Grippol", as the "Echo Moskvy" Radio reports.

So far, the school secretariat and the LLC "Pharmacist" refrain from comments.

Yesterday, a case was registered in the USA, when a seasonal flu inoculation provoked a rare and irreversible neurologic disease - dystonia. The victim was a young woman of 25, who now cannot control her body, hardly speaks and suffers from constant muscular convulsions, as reported by the "Newsru.com".
