15 persons suffer from explosion in Chechnya
The spokesman of the Investigatory Department for the Chechen Republic of the Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office (ICPO) of the Russian Federation has reported that one person was lost and 14 more were wounded as a result of explosion in the evening on October 9 in the Staropromyslovskiy District of Grozny.
"In total, 15 persons have suffered. One of them, Ahmad Tovgeriev, assistant of the on duty officer of the territorial militia station No. 36, died. Among the victims, there are three civilians," said the source from the ICPO as quoted by the "Interfax".
According to explosive experts, at the bus stop "Novaya", a radio-triggered bomb was blown up. It was triggered at the moment, when militiamen gathered there, having heard the noise of the first explosion. Initially, a shot was made from a grenade launcher at a patrol car; however the shell struck the wall of a nearby caf?, the car did not suffer. After the shot, when militiamen grouped near the car, another explosion took place, as the "Gazeta.Ru" writes.
