Defendant in Nalchik attack case removed from courtroom
Today, at the Supreme Court of Kabardino-Balkaria, the litigation began with discussion of the petition moved by the prosecution with demand to remove defendant Anzor Mashukov from the courtroom for regular misconduct. Also today, the court has interrogated two witnesses, residents of the Zolskiy District, one of whom is Amin Gendugov, Imam of the mosque located in Zolukokoazhe village.
While discussing the prosecution's petition, Oleg Kelemetov, Anzor Mashukov's advocate, has apologized for himself and his client for the latter's rushing into polemics with the state accusation. "This is my guilt, as I didn't explain the client that any disagreement or discontent should be expressed only as petitions," the advocate said.
The court retired for consultations and then announced its ruling to remove Anzor Mashukov from the courtroom for the period of judicial investigation.
Also today the court has interrogated two witnesses, residents of the Zolskiy District. It is remarkable that both of them have stated that had never been interrogated earlier by inspectors; and gave no evidences.
