Forty best students of the Chechen State University (ChSU) and Grozny State Oil Institute (GSOI) have left for studying at higher schools of Germany. This is already the second group of the Chechen students, who will be trained abroad. Earlier, about a hundred of them went to Germany and Great Britain.

"On September 27, a group of ChSU and GSOI students left for Germany. Some days before, the first group of students went there," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the Ministry of Education and Sciences of Chechnya." 40 best students from our higher schools will study in those located in Hamburg and Leipzig."

According to the Ministry's spokesman, training in Germany will take five ears. During the first year, students will study the language of the host country, three years will be spent to win their bachelor degree, and one more year - for the magistracy.

"Training in Germany takes place under the joint bursarial programme of the government of Chechnya and the German Service of Academic Exchanges (DAAD). Till the end of this year, 50 more students will go to get their training to the Great Britain. This programme is realized by Chechen leadership and the INTO and Study Group organizations.

Mainly, Chechen students will study medicine and natural sciences in the European higher schools.

Let us note here that the majority of sent students are boys. Earlier, the Ministry of Education said that selection was made among boys mainly, as traditions and mentality of residents of Chechnya would not let many parents to let their daughters to go and study abroad. "Besides, as a rule, girls-students often get married and have to leave the study; it's another serious minus regarding the fair sex," said the source.
