Isaeva: three young men kidnapped in the face of witnesses in Makhachkala

On September 22, it became known about kidnapping of three young men in Makhachkala; however, in spite of the witnesses present in the case, none of them is ready to testify, as reported by Svetlana Isaeva, an activist of the NGO "Mothers of Dagestan for Human Rights".

"In the Street of 26 Baku Commissars in Makhachkala, in the face of eyewitnesses, unidentified persons in camouflage pushed three young men into cars and left. But since yesterday I can't get any information from all my friends on who these persons were, and who was kidnapped," Svetlana Isaeva said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent and added that she would start working on this incident and try to gather information.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has also learnt about the kidnapping of three young men in Makhachkala from Zhanna Shamsudinova, wife of Magomed Sheikhov, who disappeared September 9 in Makhachkala and whose whereabouts is still unknown.

"It happened in the park; one man saw it and told me. The kidnappers pulled their T-shirts over their heads, forced into cars and went away. This is the way they do with everyone: people are taken away - and no news after that," said Ms Shamsudinova.

So far, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent could not get any comments from law enforcement bodies of Dagestan. According to employees of the press service of the local Ministry of Internal Affairs, they agree to communicate with our edition only in the form of official inquiries, sent by fax. At an attempt to clear out anything by phone - they just hang up.
