Youth activist released from pre-trial prison in Azerbaijan immediately recruited to the army

Agasif Shakiroglu, head of youth coalition "Khadaf", released from custody by the decision of the court of appeal, was called to the army in the evening of the same day.

Bakhruz Guliyev, lawyer of the activist, said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that "Shakiroglu, escorted by the prosecutor's office employees was brought from the pre-trial prison to the enlistment office in Baladzhary and left at the disposal of the military.

It has become known today that the criminal case against Shakiroglu is dropped. Eldar Sultanov, General Prosecutor's Office press-secretary, has explained in his talk with the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that, "taking into account the young age of Shakiroglu and his repentance, the Narimanovsk district prosecutor's office has dropped the criminal case in order to give him an opportunity to serve in the army".
