Abkhazian MFA claims new flights of Georgian drones

On July 7, at 10:00 p.m., in the vicinity of Saberio village, Gali District of Abkhazia, frontier guards fixed two drones (unmanned aircrafts) flying from Georgia deep into the District. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Abkhazia adds that at 11:35 p.m. near Khukhun village, Tkuarchal District, another pair of drones was registered.

The MFA is expressing its serious concern because of "resumed provocative actions of Georgia, which can lead to a new conflict escalation."

The Abkhazian party draws attention of the international community to "the must of prompt suppression of such incidents capable to undermine stability in the region."

The Georgian party has treated the statements of the Abkhazian MFA as disinformation and denies any flights of Georgian drones over Abkhazia. The "Georgia Online" reports that this was stated by Shota Utiashvili, head of the analytical department of Georgia's MIA.
