Supreme Court of Dagestan appoints new examination of "Chernovik" publications

The litigation under the claim of the "Rossvyazkomnadzor" (Federal Communications Supervision Agency) Department for Dagestan demanding to stop the "Chernovik" newspaper was suspended today at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Dagestan until the end of an additional linguistic and psychological examination of paper publications.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports from the courtroom that both parties have agreed to hold the examination at the Moscow-based expert's centre named "Gladis". The judge has also decided to additionally attract the prosecutor's office to the trial.

The "Rossvyazkomnadzor" has applied to the Supreme Court of Dagestan with a demand to stop the "Chernovik" after two warnings passed to the newspaper for hostile attitude to law enforcement bodies and extremist statements in its articles. The paper finds the warnings illegal and is going to address President of Russia Dmitri Medvedev.

The founder and the editorial board plan not only to present to the Supreme Court their arguments about the illegitimacy of the claim, but also strive for dismissal of Shamil Magomedov, head of the local "Rossvyazkomnadzor".
