Two students assassinated in Stavropol

In Stavropol, two students were knifed to death. The militia puts forward a number of versions of the incident, saying that it could be a domestic crime or motivated by interethnic relations.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed today by the press service of the GUVD of Stavropol Territory that on May 18 at 9:00 p.m. Moscow time a message arrived to the on duty unit of the Leninskiy ROVD of Stavropol that in an apartment in Morozova Street a body was found of citizen Kasiteridi, Yanis Stavrovich, born in 1987, a native of Pyatigorsk, an internship trainee at the Stavropol State Medical Academy, with knife wounds in the area of stomach and breast.

According to the casualty's sister, at about 8:15 p.m. Yanis left home to get money from a cash dispenser. At about 9 p.m. he returned with knife wounds; he lost consciousness and soon died. Investigation is underway.

On May 19 at 10:00 p.m. Moscow time, the ROVD of the Promyshlenny District of Stavropol received a message from a security of the Private Security Company "Vepr" that near the City Clinical Hospital No. 3 unknown persons knifed a young man. Patrol arrived to the venue and found out that citizen Magomedov, Umalat Elenkerovich, born in 1990, a native of Dagestan, a second-year student of the medical college, addressed the hospital with knife wounds of abdominal cavity and back. Later, he died from these wounds.

Operative-search actions allowed establishing that Magomedov was knifed in the Lenin Street, near the hostel of the medical college, by one of the four young men who just passed by.
